Debi Rushford is a Colchester resident, hair stylist, business owner, and breast cancer survivor.  She is active in the community and works hard to help others with cancer.  A Wigs for Kids Ambassador, she helps measure and fit custom made wigs for children with cancer, alopecia, and hair loss due to accidents.

She is also a certified "Look Good - Feel Better" program educator. The program, designed by the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, helps women who are or will be undergoing chemotherapy/radiation treatments. As a program educator she teaches free sessions at the American Cancer Society in Franklin. 

Debi recently raised over $1,000 for breast cancer research at her hair salon, Shattered Endz, by raffling off a gift basket and donating a percentage of her monthly sales.

Debi was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago. She had a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment. She lost all her hair and dealt with other side effects. Currently she is preparing for her second round of reconstructive surgery. The first was not successful and resulted in additional surgery.
